Two Friends Wine

  Our Wines

The 2007 Barbera is made from the Barbera grape which was originally brought to the Central San Joaquin Valley by Italian immigrants.  The  2007Barbera wine was made from twenty-five year old vines planted at the Burrel Ranch in Fresno County.  The grapes were hand-picked at the peak of maturity and than hand-sorted. The grapes were fermented in the presence of special French oak then the wine was aged in French and American oak barrels for ten months.
The bright ruby hue and the round soft mouthfeel are from the good color and the phenolic extraction.  The wine has the aroma and the taste of plums and cherries which adds to the complexity.  This Barbera pairs well with red and white meat as well as alone.

The 2006 Grenache is a blend of Grenache 87%, Syrah 15%, and Viognier 2%. The blending of these varieties results in a balance of the fruits.  It is vibrant in both color and taste. This easy to drink wine has enticing berry flavors with undercurrent of currants.  It is soft and silky with lots of charm.  The wine was aged in both American and French oak for 18 months.  "Two Friends Grenache" is good with food as well as just for sipping.  It is a wine for all seasons.
